Founding Principles
The Centre was founded to provide practical support to address the immediate needs of Ukrainians fleeing the Russian invasion of their country.
Founded by three churches with significant help from additional volunteers, the Centre is open to serve all refugees from Ukraine irrespective of faith, gender, age or race. Expressly, it is not an evangelical organisation founded for religious purposes.

The Centre’s Mission
Scoped out by members of the founding team, there was unanimity that the centre’s mission would be to:
Provide social, educational and material help for Ukrainians in need;
Be a safe, welcoming space offering positive social interaction;
Augment the basic services provided by local authorities such as EVAM;
Respect the dignity of all visitors and seek to involve them in the management and running of the Centre.
Establishing The Centre
Key services were agreed:
Creation of a social space;
Provision of psycho-social counselling;
Provision of language lessons (French & English);
Collection and distribution of clothes and personal items;
Provision of advice on employment, local life and administration;
Offer various recreational activities especially for young people and children.
